Exactly a year ago, two of the Causes for Animals co-founders, Christine and Marcus, tied the knot at poolside wedding at Village Hotel Changi. Besides the wedding cake, there was another extra cake because it also happened to be Christine’s birthday.

These days (thanks to the media), many tried to make their wedding unique and impressive with extravagant venue, jaw dropping dress, lavish decorations and whatnot.

But a wedding day is really just a celebration of love and commitment through a gathering of friends and family who are happily and truly present in the moment. Which was exactly what I witnessed on that lovely evening by the poolside.
