I have known both Dung and Wen Ho for a long time. They also happened to be the very first wedding couple that I have photographed. Now that they are adding a new member to the family, I am more than happy to take some photos for them in the final weeks before the little one arrives.

I wanted to do more than the usual maternity shots; I was hoping for something more real, uncontrived and unscripted. I always have this lingering question in my mind, how was the world like before my existence? What did my parents prior to my arrival?

So I hang around with them for a while in the day, immersing myself in their world. Nothing was planned or directed.

And they happened to have just collected a parcel from the post office. I watched them unbox the gift from Holland with a lovely tulip-shaped letter and many goodies inside for the baby.

I chatted with them as they sorted the baby’s laundry and we all laughed together over an episode of The Big Bang Theory.

Just another day at home 🙂
